I was so pleased to have been part of the Goderich Makers Market and Goderich Flee Market this month. The feedback from locals and tourists has been amazing. I extend a huge thank you out to those who support handmade, local, arts and crafts. I now have my journals and pencils at the Goderich Makers Mercantile on West Street. A great shop with almost 50 unique vendors! Check it out! Blog posts have been slow - sorry. Busy summer attending markets, being with family, and the day job often just gets in the way of my creative side :) More frequent posts coming soon - along with an etsy store and some new book designs! Interested in a special book for yourself or someone and can't get to Goderich or St.Thomas? Well just email me - we can make arrangements for delivery! Retro record flashback! My record books have been amazingly popular -for all ages. It is so great to see younger ages wanting a journal to record their summer trips in . Off for a bike ride in the country side - more writing and creating later. Keep enjoying the sunshine, Martha

Today I got some great news! (I would have had it sooner by for some reason I didn't get the email when it was originally sent!) Gmail ... GRRRRRRR. I found out today that I was selected for the Kerr Village Handmade and Vintage Market for July 9th! HOW COOL?! I am totally flattered. The market runs for three Saturday's this summer - June 11 (tomorrow) - July 9 - August 13th. Check out their Facebook for the vendors! I plan on going tomorrow to support the other vendors.
https://www.facebook.com/Kerr-Village-Handmade-Vintage-Market-196084040761475/ I hope you can visit me at this market! I will also be at Wildflowers Tea Summer Solstice on June 26! Plus the Horton Market in St.Thomas July 2. I hope to be updating my website this weekend with some great new pics of books I have been working on. Life is busy! But never to busy to start writing again.... #cursivelives. Handbound books make amazing year end gifts for teachers, bus drivers, principals.... anyone really :) I have some new back-pocket jotters that will be at all upcoming markets. They are super sweet, small, and totally affordable - the perfect mini book to get young writers jotting their adventure, or for grocery lists ;). $3 each or 2 for $5!!! Off to BBQ and let the weekend roll in......... this week I am putting the push on creating some fantastic journals and cards just for mom! Looking forward to seeing everyone at the market this weekend! Let's hope for a sunny day!
Amazing weekend. Drove to Hamilton for the Makeology Craft Fair. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Met some wonderful people. Shout out to Lisa (Girl Can Create: @GirlCanCreate)- who made us feel so welcome in her city. Met her in line as we patiently waited for our swag bag! (I actually got a sunburn waiting in line). Finally met Carolyn of Sprouts Press @SproutsPress after "stalking" her online for a long time! :) Purchased a great "Hamilton" journal from Sprouts Press. My husband bought me an incredible silver folded crane necklace from FoldIT Creations. And our daughter Georgia, had an incredible buying experience from THE WILD @thewildkidsapp- who graciously let Georgia's hard earned "room clean up" money stretch far beyond what she truly could have imagined. The venue at the Cotton Factory was perfect. The lighting, the garland, the people, the lamb slider! Stunning. I can't wait to see if they have one in the fall.
Wow - first post - seemed so fitting since everything about Saturday was so wonderful and encouraging. |
